Which Saga Reigns Supreme?
King Games is sitting pretty at the top of the mobile gaming world. While we enjoy playing Farm Heroes all the time, our favorite game is only King’s second most popular title. Their most downloaded by far is Candy Crush Saga, the (in)famous candy-swapping game that propelled King into the spotlight. The two games are fairly similar in many ways, since they’re both the same type of game. However, King has introduced lots of ways in which Farm Heroes is totally different than Farm Heroes. If you’re having trouble deciding which on to play right now, browse our rundown of all the similarities and differences of Farm Heroes vs. Candy Crush below.
Farm Heroes vs. Candy Crush: Similarities
First things first: the basic gameplay of Farm Heroes and Candy Crush is pretty much identical. Both games are a variety of “match-3” games, where the goal is to make groups of 3 or more identical objects. In Farm Heroes, these are different cropsies; in Candy Crush, they’re colored sweets. Other similarities include the presence of boosters, which can remove items in ways other than normal matching. Since King makes all their money from in-app purchases, boosters in both games can be bought with real money.
Farm Heroes vs. Candy Crush: Differences
You’d be surprised how different these two games are if you’ve never played them. If you’re a Farm Hero, you already know that cropsies can increase their value when you make large matches near them. This doesn’t happen at all in Candy Crush. Instead, when you make a large candy match, a “special candy” is formed, which can be used to remove candy en masse. These candies work the same way as several Farm Heroes boosters.
Another set of differences can be found in the level objectives. Farm Heroes’ devilish antagonist Rancid Raccoon has no Candy Crush counterpart. Likewise, there’s nothing like Candy Crush’s jelly squares in Farm Heroes. Even though both games have the same layout and controls, you’ll find yourself solving very different puzzles if you play them both–and you should! When it comes to Farm Heroes vs. Candy Crush, the players are the real winners.
