The tractor booster in Farm Heroes Saga is one you should use with caution. It is almost a last resort type of booster that you only employ if you’re stuck with no other alternatives. The tractor takes out one row of elements of your choosing when you activate it. This can obviously have positive as well as negative consequences. It works well if there is a row that has no impact on you beating the level, which is rare, because usually there is an element in every row that you can use.
First of all, the tractor booster costs 12 gold bars and takes 12 hours to regenerate. It is one of the cheapest boosters available, but is much less effective compared to the even cheaper shovel booster. The shovel only digs up one cropsie, so it is much more precise than the tractor. Use the shovel before you decide to start up the tractor.
In most cases, when you take out an entire row of cropsies, you’ll destroy an element that you could use. It is very rare to come upon a completely meaningless row. That being said, taking out a whole row could invite some intriguing opportunities. For instance, if you have a big match in the making a row above a row of grass, then you can use the tractor to clear out the row below and get extra points for making the match on grass.
All in all, more times than less, the tractor won’t be your best choice of booster because the instance where taking out a whole row proves to be your greatest chance of beating the level are uncommon. Still, if you have no other boosters, the tractor is a last resort if you are stuck in the mud.
